For less mobile visitors, wheelchairs and electric scooters are available on loan from the Visitor Centre. To ensure availability they must be pre booked with the NMA well in advance. A suitable donation is requested for use of a manual wheelchair and a charge is made for a motorised scooter.

Visitors with Dogs

Dogs are not allowed in the formal grounds of the Arboretum (except for working assistance dogs), or on any of the memorials. The Arboretum has no dog waste bins and there is very little shade in the parking area for dogs left in cars.

Weather

Apart from the warmth and comfort of the Visitor Centre, the National Memorial Arboretum is an open site, so it is advisable to check that you are appropriately dressed for the local weather. Other than the Visitor Centre, there is virtually no place that is under cover. Please ensure that you come prepared with waterproof protection if wet weather is forecast. Appropriate footwear is recommended at all times to cater for rough ground and wet grass. The gift shop sells umbrellas, wet weather garments and sun hats. It may be noted that no changing areas or rooms are available at the NMA.

The Public Visitor Centre houses all the usual facilities, also the Arbour Cafe. Toilets for the able bodied and disabled are situated in the visitor centre.
